In the rush towards the holidays, you may have missed that CounterPath released version 2.1 of the Stretto Platform in late November with a gradual rollout across our Customer types from Hosted to Premise-based systems. This recent release of the CounterPath Stretto platform, which provides companies with a single platform to manage and enhance their unified communications solution, includes several noteworthy new features:
User Experience Metrics API
With organizations increasingly utilizing their own Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, PowerBI), and Data Warehouses where they centralize all analytics data, Stretto now provides an easier way for administrators to extract and deposit data into existing external systems and create custom reports to make better business and operational decisions around user and call quality data.
Let's Encrypt support
Let's Encrypt is a certificate authority trusted by all major vendors including Microsoft, Google, Apple, Mozilla, Oracle and Blackberry, and automates the obtaining, configuring and renewal process of server certificates. Now supported in Stretto, this feature can help streamline operations and reduce costs and headaches for administrators.
Report enhancements
Stretto reports now have more precise descriptions and references to documentation, enabling administrators to review their data faster and more accurately determine the resulting business implications.
XMPP Engine Update
The latest version of the XMPP engine addresses various messaging and presence improvements and more importantly allows for some of the underlying mechanisms that will support upcoming new features in our Bria client releases on desktop and mobile.
Stability and Performance Improvements
As with all Stretto releases there are additional performance improvements, usability enhancements and many minor issues that have been resolved, all of which improves the experience for our Stretto admins and their Bria users.
