Given recent demonstrations that have taken place across the U.S. and Canada, we at CounterPath would like to publicly express our support for the Black community in its fight against police violence and anti-Black racism.

At CounterPath, we believe in a set of core values that guides our behavior. We do not tolerate racism in any form, against anyone. Today, we stand with our Black employees, partners, customers, and the world and pledge to be actively anti-racist in all our endeavors.

1. We believe in the strength of our team 

We believe that we are stronger together. When members of our team are suffering, we stand with them and do our best to support and uplift their voices. We know we can achieve more when we work together to fight racism.

2. We are passionate about the success of our customers

We are committed to helping our customers succeed. We have customers of all races and ethnic backgrounds, and as such, we are sensitive to the issues that profoundly impact them. We will not remain silent and complicit.

3. We have the courage to be unique through innovation 

Change requires meaningful action. We hope to be part of the catalyst for change, keeping in mind the tangible things we can do to make a difference. We pledge to donate to the NAACP, a vital U.S. organization working to eliminate race-based discrimination and ensure the health and well-being of all persons, as well as Hogan’s Alley Society, a non-profit organization committed to preserving and promoting Black history and culture throughout Vancouver and British Columbia.

4. We act with integrity 

We commit to being anti-racist and calling out racism and intolerance wherever we encounter it. We will foster a culture of diversity and inclusion within our organization and extended communities, where people from all backgrounds feel safe and valued.
