Exciting times at CounterPath HQ. We are happy to announce that a leading Canadian retailer has deployed Bria Android softphones to 4,000 employees in 500 locations all across Canada. And that is not all. The deployment is expected to grow in the near future and be introduced to their approximately 10,000 employees in an additional 1,200 locations over the next 12 months.
The deployment is being managed by CounterPath’s Stretto Platform™ for provisioning, voice quality monitoring, and remote support.
The newest member of the CounterPath family is a bit shy but it is an established Canadian icon in the sporting goods, hardware, electronics, housewares, garden and patio, and auto accessories business. Our client is adding high-quality voice to the Android-based Motorola MC40 devices already in place. Our solution will further their efforts to become more productive on the store floor.
More importantly, because of the disparate IP PBX environment, they required a softphone client vendor that could handle interoperability with diverse network equipment providers. This was one of the main reasons that CounterPath’s Stretto Platform™ was a the perfect solution for them.
“CounterPath’s highly interoperable Bria and Stretto solutions have provided us with yet another opportunity to solve Unified Communications deployment challenges for a prominent Canadian retailer,” said Todd Carothers, EVP of Sales and Marketing at CounterPath. “We are excited to provide productive communication tools to their floor staff to help them serve customers better and more efficiently.”
