Over the past few years, both Android and iOS have introduced operating system features that disable tasks that run in the background. While this might be useful to ensure a game app does not drain the battery when not active, it can be problematic for voice and video apps.
We have continued to innovate to ensure these changes don't affect our customers, and Public Push is the next stage of this innovation. This service allows Bria X to use less battery life, and helps ensure you and your users don't miss calls.
The feature is now enabled by default. The user can disable this Push Notification feature at any time should they not wish to use it. The enhanced backgrounding feature has been removed from this release, as this feature will no longer be supported in future versions of the OS.
CounterPath plans no further updates to the Bria X Administrator on this issue.
