The CounterPath team is pleased to announce that we have released a significant update to Bria for Salesforce®. Over the past few months, Lightning support has been the number one requested feature we’ve heard from Salesforce adminstrators. This new release now supports Lightning, as well as the Classic and Sales Console interfaces, in a single package.
For users of the Salesforce Lightning interface, this is exciting news! Now Lightning users can also take advantage of CounterPath’s OpenCTI integration, in order to increase user productivity with integrated calling, instant messaging, presence and screen sharing. Whether your team uses the Salesforce Classic interface, the new Lightning interface, or both, you can free your sales team to focus on selling, not on entering data.
A powerful tool for your Salesforce users
With its ability to automatically track all incoming and outgoing calls, Salesforce users can focus on servicing their customers rather than spend time entering call details. Bria for Salesforce allows for richer interactions such the ability to screen share with their customer or prospect. From the sidebar they can schedule follow-up calls, send an email, or even make updates to the contact’s profile, in real time.
Designed to work with your team’s existing workflows, Bria for Salesforce allows managers to have deep insights into how their teams are performing automatically. With powerful and customizable reports that show how fast your team in responding to leads, who your team is talking to and when, and many more, it’s never been easier to get insights into your organization.

User and Admin-Friendly
Since we introduced Bria for Salesforce in 2016, we’ve seen that many organizations are slowly moving towards Lightning on a role-by-role basis, rather than moving their entire organization at once. If you are a Salesforce administrator supporting both Lightning and Classic users, you’re going to love Bria for Salesforce! When a user moves from the Classic to Lightning interface, all you need to do is switch their call center settings in Salesforce. You can decide which interface best suits your users, rather than having to update users to suit the technology. We even support users moving from Lightning back to Classic.
Moving from one interface to another in Salesforce can be challenging, but fortunately the Bria sidebar won’t be one of those challenges. The user experience of the Bria sidebar is the same, regardless which interface your user prefers, reducing your training and administrative overhead. This allows your team members to focus on doing their day-to-day work, rather than having to re-learn how to navigate the updated app.
One of the features that administrators tell us they loved about the Bria for Salesforce package is how we store all of the data in Salesforce as a standard object, rather than store it on another server. This allows administrators to include call data in the reports that add value to their organizations. We’ve worked hard to retain this as we added Lightning support, so regardless of which interface your users use, all of the data can be included in any of your Salesforce reports.
By leveraging the award-winning Bria softphone, the Bria for Salesforce package is compatible with a wide array of call servers, whether hosted or on-premise such as Asterisk, BroadSoft, Avaya, Ribbon, Cisco. As a Bria application, all of the great features users know and love such as call transfer, auto answer, call recording, multiple account support and high-quality audio and video calls are included.
If you have already deployed Bria for Salesforce, you can update your team at no additional charge via the AppExchange.
